Assembly
of the radio control gear needs to be done on a bench to ensure
that the equipment operates properly. The information on this web
page are to be used as a visual guide with the instructions supplied
by Armortek. Follow the Armortek instructions very carefully. The
wiring schematic that Armortek provided for the original Option Pack 1 is here.
I've
added black braided nylon wiring sleeves where possible to reduce
abrasion hazards to the wiring. The wiring sub looms were also labeled
to make them easier to find.
Connecting
the main motors to each of the electronic speed control relays. These
are not the 4QD speed controllers that Armortek now supplies.
Connecting
the power supply leads on the electronic speed controllers to the
power output cables from fuse box glands 3 & 4.
Connecting
the first electronic switch unit to the switch unit sub loom labeled
"1". I added the number "1" on the switch.
Connecting
the second electronic switch unit to the switch unit sub loom labeled
"2". I added the number "2" on the switch.
Connecting
the turret rotation motor to the rotation motor sub loom using the
two-way shrouded connector.
Connecting
the switch unit sub loom to auxiliary unit power supply cables from
fuse box gland 5.
Connect
the turret sub loom to the switch unit sub loom using the eight way
connector. This is a difficult connector to use for the first time.
I'd recommend finding a spare spade connector and inserting it into
each female connector of the 8 way to loosen them up. Connect the
elevation motor to the turret sub loom.
Connecting
the recoil servo to the servo socket on the turret sub loom.
Connecting
the elevation motor limit switches to the turret sub loom.
