[Tiger 321]

Gallery - Rich Stinchcomb - 2008 - At home

These pictures were taken at my house on December 13, 2008. This is my 1/6th scale Armortek mid-production Tiger tank during a shakedown cruise after getting a new set of 4QD speed controllers, replacement receiver power supply, and Mike Stannard's brass stowage bin.

In the backyard for the first time since August 2007.
On the "gas line" showing off the fantastic detail of Mike's stowage bin.
Another view from the front.
In the backyard again, showing the left side of the Tiger.
I couldn't resist climbing up onto this rock at the edge of the woods. The 4QD's held the tank in position much better than the older speed controllers.
Controlling the tank along side the house after a run in the front yard.
The tanks runs much smoother than before, more like a swiss watch than a tank.
Putting the Tiger in the house is an engineering project. First it is driven under the deck in the yard.
A "road" of walkway stones prevent the tracks from picking up too much dirt before it goes in the house.
It is carefully guided onto ramps at the top of the hatchway stairs and onto a cart below.
