These pictures were taken during the AMGBA September 1980 Abingdon-on-Thames factory MG tour. We were the last tour group to see MG's in production at Abingdon.  MGB's were parked in lots outside the factory for shipment to dealers.  After building MG's for 51 years, the Abingdon factory would close four weeks later.

Abingdon Parking Lot
September 18, 1980
A panoramic picture of the Abingdon parking lot with brand new pewter metallic 1980 Collector Edition MGB roadster's and GT's.  These are some of the last MGB's to be built in Abingdon.
That's me standing by a group of pewter GT's, anchored by a single bronze roadster.
A pair of pewter Collector Edition MGB/GT's.
A nice shot of MGB roadsters grouped by colour.  Represented are blue, yellow, bronze, and black.
